The Viable Map methodology – Describe, discuss, diagnose your (non) agile management model and design one that works for your organization

This talk is based on a forthcoming book of the Beyond Budgeting Round Table (BBRT). It introduces the Viable Map methodology which is a visual way to map an organization’s management model. This allows understanding whether this has a fit to the organizations’ environment as well as to the people it tries to attract and it currently employs. It also allows understanding whether there is an alignment between an organization’s management processes and leadership principles. In sum, it is a new, visual method that allows discussing an organization’s management model. An agile practitioner for example could use it in order to show what needs to be changed in the way an organization is managed to allow it to become more agile and to then also understand how to make these changes.
